    Question

Are they like, bright green/scary green, or like, mild green? Is her hair brown-red or red or red-red? Thanks!

Depends on the age of the doll.
The older ones have really red hair and their eye lashes are coppery in color. Also the eyes are a more subdued green.
The newer dolls have balck lashes, auburn hair and more vibrant green eyes (they look spooky to me!)

Mattel Felicity has a much more auburn hair, although it's still quite obviously red. I think it's a very pretty color.

Her eyes are, uhm, deffinitely what one could call "electric green." They do look quite a bit unnatural, I have never seen a person with these colored eyes before. But, I think that makes them even more pretty. They look almost like thet belong in some fantasy story.

Loads of people keep saying they're much more GREEN than PM Felicity. My 1995 red-haired, green eyed AGT's eyes are the EXACT same color as my Mattel Felicity. Only difference is that her eyelashes are a light brown, perhaps making her eyes look less neon. But the eye colors are exactly the same, and I really don't see why AG would use a different colored green eye for the AGTs as for Felicity. I mean, its possible, but I really think the eyelashes play a trick on people.

Pre-Mattel Felicity is much more red-headed. Personally, I think it's a slightly unnatural shade of red, far too pinkish. Although, apparently, some PM Felicity's have the auburn hair, as well, so if you decide to get one on ebay, be sure to look carefully.

As a general "rule" on PM/M dolls, the M ones have much more face coloring compared to the PM dolls. So, most PM Felicity's are going to be much more pale looking, and sometimes are totally colorless, whereas the Mattel dolls are deffinitely going to have loads of color.

Both dolls are lovely, depending on what it is you want.

yup, the pre-mattel red head ones definately have a pinkish tone, the auburn ones are a much more natural shade. They are stil both in the red head family. Mattel being on the browner side of the spectrum.
Either way their P and M's eyes are not a natural green though the pre-mattels do look less...well, spooky was a good description. But it could be because of what she said, auburn lashes as opposed to black lashes.
You can find some pre-mattel with good face coloring and the early west german pre-mattels don't seem to have the plumpness to them that the 1990 pre-mattel tend to have.
I have a comparison album of pre-mattel felicity's to help give you an idea of what we are talking about.

dolldreamer, I'm looking through your album, here, and all the eye colors look unnatural, but I really think the color is pretty. Like I said before, I think it looks very fantasylike.

I really like the one on the right in the third picture, her eyes are obviously the electric green color, but for some reason, the color is much less glaring here, she's a beautiful doll. All of your Felicity's are beautiful, congrats on such a great collection, there.

A question that came to my mind when looking through your album, is the part on the dolls different? In that same third picture, the doll on the left's part seems to pouf a bit more, and kind of fall around her face, before going down. Does what I'm saying make *any* sense? lol.

Editing because I left a few words out.

ok, the one on the right in the third picture is the pre-mattel 1993. All of my doll have basically the same eyes color, they are all pre-mattel. I saw a mattel felicity once and thought her eyes were more green but I think it's like you said, the black lashed made the green more intense then it really is.
Your question about the part. They are all the same. The west german on the left still had her curl so when I pull her hair back it's in a looser ponytail and gets pulled over her ears. The 1993 one next to her has lost most of her curl, so when I pull her hair back it ends up tighter and the hair gets pulled straight above her ears. Does that make sense?
    LOL!
I am glad you like my album. It was accidental. I spent awhile looking for the perfect pre-mattel felicity on ebay. I had her in my mind but everytime I had thought I found her there was something that wasn't right. But, I did finally find her and decided to do a comparison album before I sold off the others.
There really are a TON of differences in these dolls, from face mold to hair color and body color, tags or no tags, hair length even. It's crazy!
You are the only one who I have heard decribe her hair as pinkish and that is something I have said for a long time too. So, I am glad I am not the only one who saw that color.
